Ingredients

  • 1 yeast cake
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 1/4 cups warm milk
  • 1/2 cup melted margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Mix the dissolved yeast, warm milk, melted margarine, beaten eggs, sugar, and salt together.
  2. Add 2 cups of flour to the mixture and stir well.
  3. Let the mixture stand in a warm place for 20 minutes.
  4. Add the remaining flour gradually and knead until you have a soft dough.
  5. Let the dough rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour.
  6. Roll the dough out on a lightly floured board.
  7. Cut the dough into rounds.
  8. Dip each round in melted butter and fold over.
  9. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15 to 20 minutes until lightly browned.
