- Pour off excess fat and reserve 3/4 cup of beef broth.
- Add the remaining beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and bay leaf to the pan.
- Cover and cook over low heat for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Add carrots and potatoes to the pan.
- Cook for an additional hour or until the meat and vegetables are tender.
- Blend the reserved broth with flour until smooth.
- Add cinnamon to the flour mixture.
- Slowly stir the flour mixture into the sauce.
- Cook until the sauce thickens.
