Ingredients

  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1 large carton Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Combine self-rising flour, chopped nuts, and melted margarine.
  2. Pat the mixture into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
  3. Bake for 30 minutes at 350°F.
  4. Allow the crust to cool.
  5. Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar well; then fold in Cool Whip.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust.
  7. Spread cherry pie filling over the top.
  8. Chill several hours before serving.
