Ingredients

  • 1/2 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 pkg. (6 oz.) instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 can crushed pineapple
  • 1 carton (8 oz.) whipped topping
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Prepare the yellow cake mix according to package directions, using half of the required ingredients.
  2. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
  3. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 18 to 20 minutes.
  4. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  5. Beat together the cream cheese and milk until smooth, gradually adding the milk.
  6. Add the vanilla pudding mix and continue beating until the mixture begins to thicken.
  7. Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the cooled cake.
  8. Drain the crushed pineapple well and sprinkle it over the pudding layer.
  9. Spread the whipped topping over the pineapple layer.
  10. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
  11. Cover and chill for 24 to 48 hours before serving.
