Ingredients

  • 1/2 loaf French bread
  • 1/4 cup soft margarine
  • 1 teaspoon snipped parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano or basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • dash of garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 325°F.
  2. Cut the French bread diagonally into 1-inch slices.
  3. Mix the margarine, parsley, oregano or basil, Parmesan cheese, and garlic salt; spread on the bread slices.
  4. Reassemble the half loaf and wrap securely in heavy-duty aluminum foil.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes.
