Ingredients

  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. nuts

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine, then add sugar and eggs.
  2. Beat well.
  3. Dissolve baking soda in the milk, then add it along with the sifted dry ingredients, nuts, and raisins.
  4. Spread the mixture in a large greased cookie pan.
  5. Sprinkle sugar over the top.
  6. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
