Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9 x 12-inch or 10 x 13-inch pan with Pam.
  2. Mix sugar, oil, nutmeg, baking soda, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Alternately add flour, milk, and molasses to the mixture, stirring well after each addition.
  4. Fold in raisins until evenly distributed.
  5. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for exactly 20 minutes in the preheated oven.
  7. Cool the baked mixture, then cut into squares.
