Tips & Substitutions

For added flavor and nutrition, consider incorporating chopped nuts like almonds or walnuts, or try using maple syrup instead of honey. You can also substitute the raisins with dried cranberries or apricots for a different taste. If you prefer a crunchier granola, bake it a bit longer, but keep an eye on it to prevent burning.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the Hi-Fiber Granola with yogurt and fresh fruit for a nutritious breakfast, or enjoy it as a snack on its own. It pairs beautifully with Basic French Dressing when added to salads for an unexpected crunch. You can also sprinkle it over smoothie bowls or incorporate it into baked goods for extra texture.

Storage & Reheating

Store the granola in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks. For longer storage, you can freeze it in a freezer-safe bag or container for up to three months. To enjoy, simply break it into pieces and serve as is or reheat in the oven for a few minutes to regain crunch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make this granola gluten-free?

Yes, to make this granola gluten-free, ensure that the oats you use are certified gluten-free. Most brands offer gluten-free oats that will work perfectly in this recipe, allowing you to enjoy the same great taste while accommodating dietary needs.

How can I customize the sweetness of the granola?

For a different flavor profile, consider adding spices such as nutmeg or ginger. Additionally, use a flavored extract instead of vanilla, like almond or coconut. This will give your granola a unique twist while still keeping it healthy.

What can I do if my granola clumps together too much?

If your granola clumps together, it may be due to the moisture content. To avoid this, make sure to mix the wet and dry ingredients thoroughly before baking. You can also break up any large clusters after baking and while it's cooling to achieve a more even texture.
