A hearty casserole featuring seasoned ground beef, layered potatoes, onions, and peas, topped with savory onion gravy. Perfect comfort food for family dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 6 medium potatoes
  • 1 medium or large onion
  • 1 can English peas
  • 1 package onion gravy mix

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef until well done; drain excess fat.
  2. Peel potatoes and slice into 1/4-inch thick slices.
  3. Peel onion and slice into 1/4-inch thick rings.
  4. Layer the cooked ground beef in a baking dish.
  5. Place potato slices on top of the beef.
  6. Add onion rings on top of the potatoes.
  7. Pour the can of English peas over the layered ingredients.
  8. Mix the onion gravy mix with 3/4 cup hot water.
  9. Pour the gravy mixture over the casserole.
  10. Cover and bake in a 350°F oven for 30 minutes.
  11. Alternatively, cook on the stove by bringing to a boil in a saucepan, then simmer until potatoes are tender, without stirring.
