Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Salt and pepper the eye of the round roast (any size you wish). Wrap it in heavy foil.
  2. Seal the foil carefully and rewrap again.
  3. Roast the wrapped beef for 3 hours at 350°F (175°C).
  4. Undo the foil, jab holes in the meat, and pour the sauce over all.
  5. Roll the meat thoroughly in the sauce.
  6. Re-wrap the roast in the foil.
  7. Cook for another hour with the sauce.
  8. Serve hot or cold.
