Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. liquid margarine
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 stalks celery, chopped
  • 4 to 6 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 lb. mushrooms, chopped
  • 6 cups bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp. dried sage
  • 1 tsp. dried marjoram
  • 1/2 tsp. celery salt
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the liquid margarine over medium heat.
  3. Add chopped onion, celery, and green onions; sauté until tender.
  4. Add chopped mushrooms and cook until they release moisture and are browned.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine bread crumbs, dried sage, dried marjoram, celery salt, dried oregano, and dried thyme.
  6. Add the sautéed vegetables and chopped fresh parsley to the bread crumb mixture; stir well to combine.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  8. Bake uncovered at 325°F for 30 to 45 minutes until golden brown.
