Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. liquid margarine ⓘ
- 1 onion, chopped ⓘ
- 4 stalks celery, chopped ⓘ
- 4 to 6 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1/2 lb. mushrooms, chopped ⓘ
- 6 cups bread crumbs ⓘ
- 2 tsp. dried sage
- 1 tsp. dried marjoram ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. celery salt ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. dried thyme ⓘ
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley ⓘ
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- In a large skillet, melt the liquid margarine over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion, celery, and green onions; sauté until tender.
- Add chopped mushrooms and cook until they release moisture and are browned.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine bread crumbs, dried sage, dried marjoram, celery salt, dried oregano, and dried thyme.
- Add the sautéed vegetables and chopped fresh parsley to the bread crumb mixture; stir well to combine.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Bake uncovered at 325°F for 30 to 45 minutes until golden brown.
