Ingredients

  • 6 1/4 to 6 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups crushed granola
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 packages dry yeast

Instructions

  1. Mix water and dry yeast; add 3 cups of flour and salt.
  2. In a saucepan, heat milk, honey, and butter until warm.
  3. Add the warmed milk mixture to the flour mixture. Add eggs and beat well.
  4. Stir in crushed granola and the remaining flour.
  5. Knead the dough for 8 to 10 minutes until smooth.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 1/2 hours.
  7. Punch down the dough and divide it into 3 equal parts.
  8. Place each portion into loaf pans; let rise for 1 hour.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 30 to 35 minutes.
