Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1 med. onion, minced
  • 2 (15 ounce.) cans blackeyed peas
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic pwdr
  • 2 c. minced ham
  • 3 c. cooked long grain rice

Instructions

  1. Saute/fry onions in butter.
  2. Add in peas, peppers, ham, and other spices.
  3. Heat thoroughly.
  4. Mix in cooked rice.
  5. For extra spicy dish use Trappey's jalapeno black eye peas.
