Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1/4 stick margarine
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 3 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 can creamed corn
  • 1 can black olives
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups cornmeal

Instructions

  1. Brown the hamburger meat in a skillet.
  2. Mix the cooked meat with canned tomatoes, creamed corn, chopped onion, oil, chili powder, and black olives.
  3. Boil the mixture for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and gradually stir in 1 1/2 cups of cornmeal, salt to taste.
  5. Pour the mixture into a long casserole dish.
  6. Bake in a 300°F oven for 1 hour until set and bubbly.
