Ingredients

  • pork meat
  • ground cumin
  • garlic salt
  • chili powder
  • Crisco oil
  • masa harina
  • lard
  • corn shucks
  • black pepper

Instructions

  1. Soak corn husks in hot water for about an hour or more; the longer, the better.
  2. Boil the pork meat until tender; save the liquid broth.
  3. Chop the cooked pork into small pieces.
  4. In a frying pan, heat a small amount of Crisco oil.
  5. Add the chopped pork to the pan and brown slightly.
  6. Add garlic salt, ground cumin, and chili powder to the pork.
  7. Pour a little broth into the pan, stir, and cook for about 10 minutes.
