Ingredients

  • 2 lb. beef stew meat
  • 3 large onions
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 8 peppercorns
  • 1/2 tsp. tomato paste
  • 8 oz. can whole tomatoes
  • leaves from 2 stalks celery
  • 1 small red pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut beef into 1-inch cubes and wash.
  2. Saute diced onions in 2 tablespoons of oil until translucent.
  3. Add paprika to the onions and stir well.
  4. Add the beef cubes, whole tomatoes, celery leaves, red pepper, salt, peppercorns, and tomato paste to the pot.
  5. Simmer over low heat for 1 1/2 hours or until the meat is tender.
