Ingredients

  • 3 cups vinegar
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup Kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon celery seed
  • 1 tablespoon mustard seed

Instructions

  1. Slice the onions and cucumbers.
  2. Combine vinegar, sugar, kosher salt, celery seed, and mustard seed in a large bowl and mix until sugar and salt dissolve.
  3. Pack the sliced onions and cucumbers into a 1-gallon glass jar.
  4. Pour the prepared vinegar mixture over the vegetables, ensuring they are fully submerged.
  5. Seal the jar and place it in the refrigerator.
  6. Let the pickles sit for at least 24 hours before serving for best flavor.
