Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Brazil nuts
  • 1 lb. English walnuts
  • 3 1/2 lb. pecans
  • 1/2 lb. almonds
  • 1 1/2 lb. candied cherries
  • 1 1/2 lb. candied pineapple
  • 1/4 lb. lemon peel
  • 1/4 lb. orange peel
  • 1 lb. white raisins
  • 1 lb. dark raisins
  • 1 lb. marshmallows
  • 1 lb. graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 large can evaporated milk

Instructions

  1. Heat the evaporated milk and melt the marshmallows in it.
  2. Stir in the graham cracker crumbs to form a batter.
  3. In a large separate pan, mix the candied cherries, candied pineapple, lemon peel, orange peel, white raisins, and dark raisins.
  4. Pour the batter over the mixed fruits and raisins and stir well.
  5. Add the nuts (Brazil nuts, English walnuts, pecans, almonds) last and mix thoroughly.
  6. Work the mixture by hand until well combined.
  7. Pack the mixture into pans lined with wax paper, pressing it down firmly.
  8. Refrigerate overnight.
  9. Turn out of the pans the next day and wrap in heavy Reynolds Wrap.
  10. Store in the freezer or refrigerator.
  11. Keep refrigerated after removing from freezer; can be stored for 1 year or longer if frozen.
