Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup margarine or butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 to 2 cups chocolate chips
  • nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Melt butter on stove.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add sugar, eggs, vanilla, flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt to the melted butter.
  5. Mix with a spoon until well blended.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  7. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts on top.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes.
