A flavorful Italian-inspired bread featuring garlic, basil, melted mozzarella, and a medley of vegetables, perfect for sharing at gatherings or a hearty snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Italian bread
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. garlic
  • 1/4 tsp. basil
  • 6 oz. sliced Mozzarella cheese
  • 4 oz. broccoli
  • 4 oz. cauliflower

Instructions

  1. Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise.
  2. Spread butter evenly on the cut sides of the bread.
  3. Sprinkle garlic and basil over the buttered bread.
  4. Boil broccoli and cauliflower for approximately 10 minutes, then strain and mix together.
  5. Layer the cooked vegetables and sliced mozzarella cheese on top of the bread halves.
  6. Wrap the assembled bread in foil.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15 to 20 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted.
