Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/3 c. uncooked long grain rice
  • 1 1/4 c. chicken broth
  • dash ground turmeric
  • 1/4 c. shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, sauté onion in butter until tender.
  2. Add rice and cook over medium heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Stir in turmeric and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
  5. Stir in shredded Parmesan cheese.
