Jam Strips
Sweet jam strips with buttery dough and a hint of vanilla, topped with jam and drizzled with almond glaze, perfect for a delightful snack or dessert treat.

- Cream together the butter, sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Mix the flour and baking powder together, then add to the creamed mixture and combine.
- Divide the dough in half and press each half into long rectangular strips on a baking sheet.
- Place both dough halves lengthwise on one cookie sheet.
- Using the back of a spoon, press a shallow indentation in the center of each dough strip.
- Fill each indentation with jam.
- Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 30 minutes until golden.
- Allow to cool, then drizzle with almond glaze and cut into 1 1/2-inch bars.
