Jewish Bars are rich, chocolate-filled dessert bars with coconut and nuts, perfect for sharing at gatherings or as a sweet treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 cup nuts
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 2 cups coconut

Instructions

  1. Cream margarine until smooth.
  2. Add sugar and eggs; beat well until combined.
  3. Stir in flour, cocoa, and nuts; mix well.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly on a greased 10 x 14-inch baking sheet.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and spread condensed milk over the hot cake.
  7. Sprinkle coconut over the condensed milk layer.
  8. Bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  9. Let cool completely.
  10. Spread cream cheese frosting over the cooled bars.
  11. Cut into bars and serve.
