Ingredients

  • 1 lb. coarsely chopped dates
  • 1 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
  • 5 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 unbeaten eggs

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together until well combined.
  2. Pour the mixture into a 10-inch square pan.
  3. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 45 minutes.
  4. Let stand until not quite cool, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Cut into bars and roll each in confectioners sugar.
