Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground round steak
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 package dry onion soup mix
  • 2 strips bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground round steak, eggs, bread crumbs, ketchup, water, dry onion soup mix, and mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it into a loaf pan.
  4. Cover the top of the loaf with 2 strips of bacon.
  5. Bake for 1 hour at 350°F (175°C).
