Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup crackers
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 cup catsup
  • 2 pounds ground chuck
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine egg, crushed crackers, chopped onion, catsup, ground chuck, milk, and salt.
  2. Mix the meat thoroughly with your hands until the egg is fully incorporated and the tomato sauce is evenly distributed.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf shape.
  4. Place the shaped meat loaf into a loaf pan.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 1 hour.
  6. Halfway through baking, spread catsup on top of the meat loaf to brown and add flavor.
