Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and vanilla, beat well.
  2. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture.
  3. Stir in chocolate chips.
  4. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8 to 9 minutes.
