Ingredients

  • 3 1/4 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
  • 2/3 c. sour milk

Instructions

  1. Beat flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg until light.
  2. Add eggs, sugar, butter and sour milk; go light on the flour.
  3. Fry in hot Crisco oil.
  4. Makes 2 dozen.
