Jumbo stuffed shells filled with a savory beef and cheese mixture, baked in rich tomato sauce for a hearty Italian-inspired meal perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef or 1/2 lb beef and 1/2 lb pork
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 lb mozzarella cheese diced
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 slices bread
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • salt and pepper
  • jumbo shells
  • pasta sauce
  • grated cheese

Instructions

  1. Break ground beef into small particles and sauté in butter or olive oil.
  2. Mix thoroughly the meat, egg, mozzarella, milk, bread, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
  3. Fill cooked jumbo shells with the meat mixture.
  4. Cover the bottom of a baking dish with pasta sauce.
  5. Arrange the filled shells side by side in a single layer in the baking pan.
  6. Pour the remaining sauce over the filled shells.
  7. Bake at 350°F for about 30 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle with grated cheese before serving.
