Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup oleo
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1.5 cups rolled oats
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Crumble the brown sugar, white sugar, oleo, flour, and rolled oats together.
  2. Set aside 1 cup of this mixture for the topping.
  3. Mix in the beaten eggs, buttermilk, soda, and salt into the remaining crumb mixture. Beat until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
  5. Sprinkle the reserved 1 cup of crumbs on top of the batter.
  6. Optional: sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes.
