Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 3/4 cups uncooked oats

Instructions

  1. Sift together the flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  2. Beat the egg, mashed bananas, and butter well.
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and beat again until combined.
  4. Pour the batter into a large greased pan (jelly roll type).
  5. Spread the batter evenly over the pan.
  6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 25 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool.
  8. Ice with thin powdered sugar icing.
