Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. bulk sausage
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce
  • 1 32 oz. jar or can of tomatoes, cut small
  • 4 tsps. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown meat (beef and sausage) with garlic and onion.
  2. Drain off excess fat.
  3. Place meat mixture in crockpot and add remaining ingredients.
  4. Add small amount of water, if necessary.
  5. Cook on "low", 6-7 hours.
  6. Serves 8-10.
