Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup strawberry jam

Instructions

  1. Blend together the butter, sugar, vanilla, lemon extract, and salt until well combined.
  2. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Mix the sour cream and baking soda together, then add to the mixture and blend well.

  6. Divide the batter evenly and pour into two greased loaf pans.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
