Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups diced celery
  • 2 cups sliced carrots
  • 4 cups water
  • parsley
  • 4 tablespoons chicken bouillon
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 to 4 cups half and half or milk
  • 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning
  • 1 pound seafood of your choice, diced

Instructions

  1. Saute chopped green onions in butter and flour over medium heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  2. Gradually add half and half or milk, stirring continuously, and cook for another 2 minutes.
  3. Add water, diced celery, sliced carrots, chicken bouillon, seafood seasoning, and parsley to the pot.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are tender.
  5. Add diced seafood and cook until seafood is just cooked through.
  6. Adjust seasoning as needed and serve hot.
