- Heat oven to 350°F.
- Grease a 13x9x1 inch glass baking dish with 1 tsp butter and set aside.
- Cook sour cabbage with its juices and 1 cup of warm water for about 30 minutes.
- Strain the cooked sour cabbage and set aside.
- Grind 1 pound smoked cooked ham, then add 4 eggs, a pinch of salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Chop 1/2 cup fresh parsley and incorporate into the ham mixture.
- Layer a thin layer of drained sour cabbage on the bottom of the baking dish.
- Spread about 1 1/2 cups of ham mixture over the cabbage layer.
- Repeat the layering process, ending with a layer of sour cabbage on top.
- In a medium bowl, beat 3 eggs with 1 1/2 cups whipping cream until well combined.
- Pour the egg and cream mixture evenly over the top layer of cabbage.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 1/2 hours until set and golden.
