Tips & Substitutions

For best flavor, use fresh cabbage and allow it to marinate in the dressing for at least 2 hours. If you're looking for a lighter option, consider using rice vinegar instead of regular vinegar. You can also substitute the shoyu with a gluten-free soy sauce if needed. Adding a touch of grated ginger can enhance the flavor profile.

Serving Suggestions

This Korean Style Namasu makes a refreshing side dish and pairs beautifully with grilled meats or spicy dishes. Consider serving it alongside rice or as part of a bento box. It also complements dishes like Holiday Ribbon Salad, adding a crunchy contrast.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The flavors will continue to develop, making it even tastier the next day. To reheat, simply serve at room temperature or slightly warmed, but avoid microwaving as it can make the cabbage soggy.
