Ingredients

  • 2 c. finely chopped cooked lamb
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 medium apple peeled
  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. curry powder
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 2 c. hot lamb broth
  • additional bouillon or milk for thinning

Instructions

  1. Trim fat from the cooked lamb and finely chop it.
  2. Place the chopped lamb in a bowl and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, melt the butter or margarine over medium heat.
  4. Add the chopped onion, celery, and peeled apple; cook until tender.
  5. Stir in the flour and curry powder, cooking for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Add Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic salt, and hot lamb broth.
  7. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Thicken with additional bouillon or milk if desired.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with coconut.
