Ingredients
- 2 c. finely chopped cooked lamb ⓘ
- 2 stalks celery
- 1 medium onion ⓘ
- 1 medium apple peeled
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. curry powder ⓘ
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce ⓘ
- 1 tsp. seasoned salt ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt ⓘ
- 2 c. hot lamb broth ⓘ
- additional bouillon or milk for thinning ⓘ
Instructions
- Trim fat from the cooked lamb and finely chop it.
- Place the chopped lamb in a bowl and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter or margarine over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion, celery, and peeled apple; cook until tender.
- Stir in the flour and curry powder, cooking for 1-2 minutes.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic salt, and hot lamb broth.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- Thicken with additional bouillon or milk if desired.
- Serve hot, garnished with coconut.
