Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. leaf oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 1 (15 oz.) carton Ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 lb. lasagna noodles, cooked
  • 1/2 lb. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe dish, cook ground beef and minced garlic until browned, about 5-7 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  2. Add water, tomato paste, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, sugar, oregano, and basil to the beef. Mix well.
  3. Cover and microwave on high for 10 minutes, stirring halfway through, until sauce thickens.
  4. In a bowl, combine Ricotta cheese, grated Parmesan, beaten egg, and a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth.
  5. Layer cooked lasagna noodles in a microwave-safe dish. Spread a layer of meat sauce over the noodles.
  6. Spread a layer of the cheese mixture over the sauce, then sprinkle with shredded Mozzarella cheese.
  7. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a cheese layer on top.
  8. Cover and microwave on high for 15-20 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
  9. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving to set.
