Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter slightly in the microwave.
  2. Add sugar and cream together, then add the egg and beat well.
  3. Mix in the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Stir in the milk and vanilla until combined.
  5. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
  6. Flatten each cookie with a fork dipped in sugar and sprinkle a little sugar on top.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 6 to 8 minutes until light golden brown around the edges.
  8. Allow cookies to cool slightly before serving.
