Layered Crispy Rice Bars combine crunchy cereal, coconut, pecans, and chocolate for a sweet, nutty treat. Perfect for parties, snacks, or a delightful homemade dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup margarine or butter
  • 3 cups cocoa crispy rice, crushed to 1/2 cup
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  2. Melt margarine or butter in the baking pan in the oven.
  3. Sprinkle crushed cocoa crispy rice evenly over the melted margarine.
  4. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cereal mixture.
  5. Sprinkle coconut flakes and chopped pecans evenly over the sweetened condensed milk.
  6. Distribute semi-sweet chocolate pieces and butterscotch pieces evenly over the top of the mixture.
  7. Press lightly to distribute ingredients evenly.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Allow to cool, then cut into bars.
