Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 4 eggs, hard-boiled and sliced
  • 10 oz. package frozen peas, uncooked
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, diced
  • 1 medium sweet onion, diced or green onion
  • 8 slices bacon, crumbled
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Tear the lettuce into small pieces and place in a 9 x 12-inch glass dish.
  2. Layer the diced celery, sliced eggs, uncooked peas, diced green pepper, and diced onion in order over the lettuce.
  3. In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise with sugar until well combined.
  4. Spread the sweetened mayonnaise over the layered ingredients as you would frosting.
  5. Sprinkle the grated Cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 to 12 hours before serving.
  7. Garnish with crumbled bacon and parsley before serving.
