A hearty, comforting casserole combining ground beef, cabbage, rice, and tomato flavors, perfect for family dinners and easy to prepare in one dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 c. cooked rice
  • 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 2 lb. cabbage, sliced
  • 2 (10 3/4 oz.) cans tomato soup
  • 2 c. water

Instructions

  1. Saute the ground beef in a skillet until browned.
  2. Drain excess fat from the skillet.
  3. Add cooked rice and dry onion soup mix to the beef, stirring well.
  4. Slice the cabbage into large pieces and place in a baking dish or casserole.
  5. Spread the beef mixture over the cabbage.
  6. Mix the tomato soup and water together.
  7. Pour the tomato mixture over the beef and cabbage.
  8. Cover the dish and bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
