Ingredients

  • 2 leeks
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup Bisquick
  • 2 tablespoons seasoned salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 bottle beer
  • peanut oil

Instructions

  1. Slice the white portion of leeks into 1/4-inch thick rings.
  2. Separate the rings and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix together flour, Bisquick, seasoned salt, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Pour half of a bottle of beer into another bowl.
  5. Dip about 10 leek rings into the beer, then into the flour mixture.
  6. Shake off excess flour from the rings.
  7. Fry the coated leek rings in peanut oil until golden brown.
  8. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  9. Serve hot.
