Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust

  3. Mix well until the batter is smooth.
  4. Stir in the milk until fully incorporated.
  5. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  6. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the batter until combined.
  7. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust-lined pie plate.
  8. Bake at 450°F (230°C) for 10 minutes.
  9. Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for 35 minutes.
