- In a mixing bowl, beat eggs; add sugar then butter and stir.
- Add evaporated milk, water, and vanilla, and stir to combine.
- Pour the mixture into a buttered 1 1/2 to 2-quart casserole dish.
- Place broken pieces of bread over the mixture; sprinkle the top with cinnamon and sugar.
- Place the casserole dish into another pan with 1 1/2 inches of hot water.
- Bake for one hour at 350°F.
