Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 stick butter sliced
  • 12 oz. can Carnation Evaporated milk
  • 12 oz. can of water
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla
  • 6 slices French bread or 3 hamburger buns
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs; add sugar then butter and stir.
  2. Add evaporated milk, water, and vanilla, and stir to combine.
  3. Pour the mixture into a buttered 1 1/2 to 2-quart casserole dish.
  4. Place broken pieces of bread over the mixture; sprinkle the top with cinnamon and sugar.
  5. Place the casserole dish into another pan with 1 1/2 inches of hot water.
  6. Bake for one hour at 350°F.
