Ingredients

  • 9-inch unbaked pie crust
  • 6 Red Delicious apples
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • dash of nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons self-rising flour
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour. Stir with a fork until well mixed.
  2. Add apples to this mixture a little at a time, tossing well to coat apples.
  3. Spoon filling into the pie crust; add chipped butter over the top.
  4. Set aside.
