Ingredients

  • 7 cups flour
  • 1/2 pound margarine
  • 1/2 pound lard
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/2 pint sour cream

Instructions

  1. Add the flour, margarine, lard, sugar, vanilla, baking soda, egg yolks, and sour cream to the mixture.
  2. Mix well until the ingredients are fully combined.
  3. Divide the dough into four equal parts.
  4. Roll one part of the dough into a rectangle to fit a 16 x 11 x 1 inch baking sheet. Repeat for the second sheet, possibly piecing the dough together if necessary.
