  2. Measure warm water in a large bowl, sprinkle in yeast and stir until dissolved.

  14. Let cool for about 10 minutes, then turn out of the pan.

Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider using whole milk or a milk alternative like oat milk. If you don't have pecans, walnuts or almonds make a great substitute. Ensure your yeast is fresh for the dough to rise properly. If you want a twist, try adding a dash of nutmeg to the cinnamon-sugar mix for added warmth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use bread flour instead of all-purpose flour?

Yes, using bread flour will give your Cinnamon-Pull-Apart a chewier texture due to its higher protein content. Just be mindful to adjust the liquid slightly if the dough feels too dry.

How do I know when the dough has risen enough?

The dough should double in size and feel airy when it's ready. You can gently press your finger into the dough; if the indentation remains, it's properly risen. Make sure to cover it well to retain warmth during the rising process.

Can I make this dough ahead of time?

Absolutely! You can prepare the dough and let it rise, then punch it down and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours. Allow it to come to room temperature and rise again before shaping and baking for the best results.
