Lithuania Kugelis
Lithuanian Kugelis is a hearty baked potato casserole with smoky bacon, aromatic herbs, and creamy sour cream, perfect for comforting family dinners or festive gatherings.

Instructions
- Place 1/2 stick of butter in a frying pan and melt.
- Cut the bacon and yellow onion into small pieces.
- Cook bacon and onion in butter until translucent.
- Peel and cut 1 potato into small pieces and set aside.
- Peel and cut the remaining potatoes.
- Place all potatoes into a large mixing bowl.
- In a blender, crack the eggs and blend briefly.
- Add the set-aside potato to the blender and blend briefly.
- Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the blender, then add more potatoes, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until all potatoes are added.
- Pour evaporated milk into the blender and blend on setting 2 until potatoes are coarse.
- Pour the blended potato mixture into the large mixing bowl.
- Add the cooked bacon and onions to the bowl and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a buttered glass dish and sprinkle basil on top.
- Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 1 hour.
- Allow to cool, then cut into squares and serve with sour cream.
