Ingredients

  • 1 lb. liver
  • 1 lb. bacon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 or 2 eggs
  • 1 large or 2 small onions

Instructions

  1. In a meat grinder, alternate liver, onions, and bacon into a bowl.
  2. Add salt, pepper, eggs, flour, and any additional seasonings to the mixture.
  3. Mix everything thoroughly until well combined.
  4. In a frying pan, add just enough shortening to wet the bottom of the pan.
  5. Form the mixture into burgers and cook in the pan, allowing them to make their own grease.
  6. Cook until the burgers are browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
